The Tipperary Town Chamber of Commerce is marking the success of the Enhancement Group in the town.
The Chamber says people are noticing and remarking on the very attractive results delivered as many buildings in town were painted some for the first time in several years.
Buildings on Church St., Main St., O’Brien St., and Bank Place have been featured in the project.
Some property owners also painted their premises without participating in the Scheme.
The Chamber has thanked the Council for their support as the local Municipal District council generously gave the lion’s share of the district’s allocation to Tipperary Town in 2021 and provided an audit of the scheme. Tipperary Town Credit Union provided matching funding for the scheme – thought to be €20,000. The Chamber has thanked property owners that participated. Details of a new Streetscape Enhancement scheme are to be revealed at a workshop on bringing vacant property back into use to be held at the Excel October 6th. The Streetscape Enhancement scheme has a fund of €100,000 via the Town and Renewal scheme and is to focus on Main St and Bank Place in Tipperary Town.
