New Visiting Restrictions have been put in place at Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel. Due to an ongoing Covid 19 outbreak at the hospital and on the advice of the Hospital Outbreak Control Team, Tipperary University Hospital Management have now restricted all patients to one visitor daily.
Exceptions will be made for some situations where visitors are asked to comply with infection control measures. In cases of end of life non Covid or end of life Covid or critically ill patients – two nominated relatives may visit subject to the guidelines. One parent will be allowed visit children in the Paediatric Unit at any one time. There are no changes to the current visiting arrangements for the Maternity Department and Special Care Baby Unit
Exceptional circumstances are accommodated by arrangement with the Clinical Nurse Manager of the ward. All visitors need to complete a COVID-19 Risk Assessment form at the front door prior to visiting. Visitors must wear a surgical facemask while in the hospital which covers the mouth and nose at all times.
Visiting Arrangements are reviewed on a weekly basis and further communication will be issued in the event of a change to current agreed visiting arrangements in Tipperary University Hospital.
