Residents on the Horse and Jockey Public Water Supply are being urged to boil water before use.
The decision is due to elevated turbidity which has affected treatment at the water treatment plant.
Irish Water and Tipperary County Council are issuing a Boil Water Notice with immediate effect to protect the health of consumers.
All consumers affected by this notice must boil their water before drinking. A map of the affected areas, detailing the areas affected, is available on www.water.ie
Areas Affected: Horse and Jockey, Forgestown, Moycarkey, Curraheen, Ballymurreen, Drumgower, Newtown and surrounding areas.
