The Minister for Sport is to visit a number of clubs in the county and will officially open the new playground in Ardfinnan today.
It follows an announcement earlier this year by the Fianna Fail Minister of over €7.3million in funding for local clubs under the Sports Capital Grants.
These funds will improve sporting infrastructure which will benefit generations to come.
Minister Chambers was invited by Tipperary’s Jackie Cahill who want to show him the progress done through the funding ahead of the new round of capital.
