Cappamore Show returns this weekend after a break caused by the pandemic. The year is the 66th Show which has only been cancelled on two occasions, firstly during the Foot and Mouth crisis and secondly because of the Pandemic.
The show is organised by a committee involving over 140 people and offers tremendous value to everyone. On Saturday August 20th the venue is Ballyvoreen, Cappamore and the Show Site is already taking shape. Gates open to the public on Saturday morning from 10am. Cappamore village will have a one way traffic system on Saturday to ease the flow of people and the site Eircode is V94 HT32.
Entries for all competitions can be made on Thursday evening at the Cappamore Community Centre from 7pm – 9.30pm or on Friday between 10am – 12 noon and on Friday evening from 5.30pm – 9.30pm. Exhibits can be brought to the show site from 5.30pm on Friday evening or on Saturday morning from 7am – gates open to the public from 10am. In addition to all of the events on the day a huge raffle is also part of the Cappamore Show and tickets can be purchased on the iDonate platform here – this gives robust security for the transaction. The top prize is worth €1,000 and there are also vouchers for stays in Bantry, Killarney, Castletroy, Ballykisteen and Waterford and other cash prizes to be won.
The admission fee for the show for adults is €15.00, OAPs, Teenagers & Students (with ID) pay €10 and Children U12 are admitted for free.
Free buses will transport attendees from – Cappamore: Pick up outside O’Dwyers bar at 12pm, 1pm & 2pm, return starting at 5pm
or from – Doon: Pick up in the car park opposite graveyard and Lysaght’s cross at 12:30pm & 1:45pm, return 6pm
or from Murroe: Pick up at monument at 12pm & 1:15pm, return 5:30pm

· Pet Dog Show – including a class for Rescue Dogs
