Decision On Munster Hotel Planning Application Deferred

701

A decision on a planning application in respect of the former Munster Hotel in Thurles has been deferred until September 6th as the council considers further information supplied by the applicant.

The most recent application was submitted last year seeking permission to redevelop part of the building for use as a supermarket and a smaller retail unit – all on the ground floor.

The property is owned by local business man Martin Healy.

The applicant has been asked to clarify the access and egress provisions for vehicles by the council as the planning authorities say there are conflicts in the details of the original planning application and the most recent information supplied.

The planning office has also asked for a report titled “Swept Path Analysis” – a traffic flow analysis, mentioned by the applicant to be submitted as it says it has no record of this document in the original application.
