The funeral arrangements of Tipperary Senior hurling player Dillon Quirke have been announced following his tragic passing yesterday evening.
Mr Quirke became ill during a County Senior Hurling Championship game between Clonoulty Rossmore and Kilruane MacDonaghs in Semple Stadium.
He was taken to Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel where he passed away.
Dillon will repose in his residence (E25 A257) this Monday evening from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon in St. John the Baptist Church, Clonoulty.
Followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Dillon is predeceased by his grandparents Eddie & Lyla Fryday and Phil Quirke.
He’ll be deeply regretted by his loving parents, Dan & Hazel, sisters Shannon & Kellie, grandmother, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, team mates and many beloved friends.

Mr Quirke’s former school CBS Thurles says he was a great leader in school during his time with them and a wonderful role model for the boys in school over the past number of years. The secondary school says he was an absolute gentleman and competitor.
The Taoiseach says he’s shocked and saddened by the passing of Dillon Quirke.
The President of Ireland says this is an inestimable loss not only to his family and friends but to his entire community to which he was making such a contribution. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
