The annual Tour de Munster fundraiser for local branches of Down Syndrome Ireland commences today.
The Cyclists will depart City Hall in Cork this morning and expect to be in Ballykisteen hotel for Lunch shortly before 4pm – the cyclists are due in Tipperary town at approximately 3.30pm today.
The event will traverse Munster reaching every county as it winds it’s way back to Cork in four days time.
The route includes a trip over the Vee into Clogheen at approximately 1pm before travelling on to Cahir and Tipperary town this afternoon.
The trip today will end at the Lakeside Hotel in Killaloe.
The cyclists are accompanied by Tipperary Cycling great Sean Kelly and Olympic Champion rower Gary O’Donovan.
