The Injury Unit at Nenagh Hospital will re-open tomorrow, Thursday July 28th.
The unit remains closed today (Wednesday) due to the continued impact on staffing arising from unexpected leave.
The service will operate as normal tomorrow from 8am-8pm tomorrow.
Patients can contact the Injury Unit with queries on 067-42311.
People who need treatment for minor injuries today should instead attend the Injury Units at St John’s Hospital, Limerick, or Ennis Hospital or the Cashel Minor Injury unit.
Management at University Hospital Limerick have apologised for any inconvenience caused by today’s closure however they continue to urge people with Minor injuries not to attend the Emergency Department in Limerick.
The advice for anyone seriously ill or in need of urgent emergency care is to attend the ED at Limerick or to call 999/112 for help.
The Injury Unit in St John’s Hospital is open seven days, 8am-7pm, and can be contacted on 061-462303.
The Ennis Hospital unit is open 8am-8pm and can be contacted on 065-6863121.
Cashel Injury Unit operates Mon – Fri 8.30am to 5pm and can be contacted on 062 70400.
