Farm safety is the focus next week as Farm Safety Week takes place from July 18 to 22nd. Ireland and the UK have joined forces to deliver a strong message related to farm safety during the week. 2022 marks the tenth annual Farm Safety Week.
There are five different themes for the week
Monday 18th – Launch/ Accident Statistics.
Tuesday 19th – Childhood Safety;
Wednesday 20th – Farm safety champions and farm accident survivors;
Thursday 21st – Respiratory health;
Friday 22nd – Mental health awareness
The IFA has released details of farm deaths between 2011 and 2020 showing that there were 210 fatalities in the sector.
