Data from the Central Statistics office shows that Tipperary Town has the lowest median price for houses at €135,000.
Nenagh has the most expensive with a median price of €215,001.
The monthly index records the change in the average level of prices paid by households for residential properties in Ireland.
Clonmel reported a median price of €193,000 while Thurles reported a price of €175,000, Carrick on Suir was next with a price tag of €172,500 and Cahir reported a price of €166,750 followed by Roscrea on €160,000.
Local house prices are based on the property’s Eircode.
Overall the mid-west region reported price increases of 11.4% for houses while the national average increase was 14.8%.
High demand combined with a lack of supply contributes to the rising prices for homes.
