Council Adopts New County Development Plan

Tipperary County Council has adopted a new county development plan for the period 2022 – 2028. This is the first time that a development plan has been made for the county as a whole with previous plans being   limited to the administrative areas in north or south Tipperary. The plan comes into effect on August 22nd and will be use to guide planning applications and investment decisions.  Clonmel, Nenagh and Thurles are to be key towns, with Clonmel to be self-sustaining and a driver of regional development.  The council have committed to now developing local area plans for each of the counties nine towns related back to the overall content of the new County Development Plan.
