CSO Data Shows 4.8% Unemployment Rate In Ireland

The latest data from the CSO reveals that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for June was 4.7% for males, unchanged from 4.7% in May 2022, and down from 6.5% in June 2021.

For females the June rate was 5.0% up from 4.6% in May 2022, and down from 6.2% in June 2021.

Youth unemployment in June was recorded at 5.5% up from 4.9% in May this year. This category relates to those aged between 15 – 24 years.

Overall the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for June 2022 was 4.8%, up from a rate of 4.7% in May 2022 and down from 6.3% in June 2021.

The seasonally adjusted number of persons unemployed was 134,900 in June 2022, compared to 128,100 in May 2022.
