The Minster also visited the New Primary Care Centre in Thurles which is to officially begin functions on July 18th.
The new Primary care centre will bring together services that are currently provided from a number of locations (St. Mary’s Health Centre and the Primary Care Hub in the grounds of the Community Hospital of the Assumption).
The centre is a two-storey building located on Mitchel Street.
The primary care centre will be offering GP services, Public Health Nursing Wound Management Clinics, Child Health and Child Welfare Clinics, School Screening Services and a wide range of other services including CAMHS Services, Health Promotion and Civil Registration.
