The Cathaoirleach Councillor Mary Hanna Hourigan and Elected Members of the Tipperary-Cahir-Cashel Municipal District is hosting a Cathaoirleach’s Welcome for Her Excellency Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid, Ambassador of Palestine on Tuesday the 14th of June 2022 in the Civic Offices, Rosanna Road, Tipperary Town at 12:00 noon. Ireland South MEP Grace O’Sullivan shared the news of the impending visit with TMWR listeners last week. The Ambassador had invited the MEP to meet with her when Israeli authorities denied 6 MEPs access to Israel and Gaza to meet with NGOs working on the ground. The visit to Israel was planned following the murder of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh on May 11th.
