Five HSE Health facilities in Clonmel, Nenagh and Cashel are included in the HSE’s Capital Plan for 2022.
Included in these projects is the St Conlon’s Community Nursing Home, Nenagh. Clonmel will see capital investment in both the 10-bed crisis housing unit, and the 33 bed refurbishment of St Michael’s unit at Tipperary University Hospital. In Cashel, the HSE will be investing in St Patrick’s Hospital and Our Lady’s Hospital for community care and administrative staff accommodation and to bring certain facilities up to HIQA standards. The news has been welcomed by Tipp TD Jackie Cahill who states that the extra 33 beds in UHTipperary in Clonmel will be of major benefit to the community as it will be on stream quicker than a new build.
