Over 400 hundred people attended a public display of information in respect of the proposed changes to transport services and roads between Cahir and Oola. The new proposed transport solution includes upgrades of the existing N24, the construction of new road portions, expanded bus and rail services and improved walking and cycling infrastructure. Many of those attending stand to lose land or buildings including their homes depending on the final construction plan. There will be a second public information drop in session tomorrow at Ballykisteen hotel between 1pm and 8pm. Those who wish to book a private appointment to meet with the project design team can do so for today or Friday at Ballykisteen or a future date in the Council office in Tipperary Towns. The plans are available to view on n24cahirlimerick.ie and will also be put on display in Cappamore and Cahir Libraries on Friday May 27th and in the Council Office in Tipperary Town. Those seeking to book an appointment with the designers should call 061 951000.
