Garda Traffic reports that due to a road traffic incident on the M8 Southbound between J11 & J12, the road is now closed.
The incident occurred shortly after 3pm on the section between J11 – CAHIR(SOUTH) and J12 – MITCHELSTOWN(NORTH) .
The southbound lane is closed for now.
Emergency services are on the scene at present and Garda expect that the road will be closed for several hours.
Drivers traveling southbound are asked to leave the motor way before Junction 11 if possible.
Diversions are in place at Junction 11 for all southbound traffic.
