Date Set For Public Display Of N24 Limerick Junction-Cahir Preferred Route

A date is set for a public display of the preferred Transport solution for the N24 route between Cahir and Limerick Junction.

The proposal includes a combination of active travel measures for walking and cycling, improvements to public transport, demand management measures along with new and improved road infrastructure for the communities along the N24 transport corridor from Cahir in County Tipperary to west of Limerick Junction.

The Project Team will be hosting an in-person Public Display of the plans in the Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel, Limerick Junction, on Tuesday 24 May 2022 from 1pm to 8pm and on Thursday 26 May 2022 from 1pm to 8pm

Property owners along the preferred corridor for the road component will be notified by post and invited to consult with the project team, either in person, or by online or telephone meetings.

The materials will also go on display at the following locations between May 27th and June 17th. At Tipperary-Cahir-Cashel Municipal District Offices at Rosanna Road, Tipperary, E34WD51, in Cahir Library, The Square, Cahir, Co. Tipperary, E21 WD89 and in  Cappamore Library, Gortnascarry, Cappamore, Co. Limerick, V94 C6X4

The project is being managed by the Mid West National Road Design Office on behalf of Tipperary County Council and  is a priority investment in the Government’s National Development Plan 2021-2030.

A formal planning application is yet to be developed which may take up to 3 years.
