County Tipperary is to see a jobs boost as Waystone,  the financial advisory firm with a global reputation  to increase its Ireland-based workforce by creating up to 100 additional new roles in Cashel.

The announcement has been welcomed by Tipperary TD Michael Lowry who described the news as a welcome and significant boost for Cashel,  Tipperary and, indeed, for the Mid-West region as a whole.

The additional roles will increase the number employed at Waystone in the county to almost 200 employees over the coming eighteen months.

This project is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.

Waystone in Cashel reopened last month following a 4,500 sq ft expansion and refurbishment, which facilitated significant room for future growth.

The facility now provides the growing workforce with a high-grade, flexible workspace and feedback from staff has been extremely positive.

The newly created Cashel-based roles will span global operations and support functions with services including Regulatory Reporting, Tax Reporting and Fund Administration.

CEO of IDA Ireland Martin Shanahandescribed   Cashel is an excellent location to scale a financial services company and Waystone’s presence strengthens an already well-established financial services  cluster in the Mid-West.

The Irish HQ for the company is in Dublin at 35 Shelbourne Road and the company also has offices in Maynooth following its agreement to come together with Centaur Fund Services.
