Several locations in county Tipperary are planning to hold Darkness into Light events to raise awareness and funds for Pieta House.
Darkness Into Light 2022, is supported by Electric Ireland and takes place at sunrise on the morning of Saturday May 7th.
This year sees the return of in-person events across Ireland and at several locations abroad.
The event will raise funds and also enable people to come together in different and creative ways to share a sunrise moment and stand in solidarity with people impacted by suicide and self-harm.
There are 7 events planned for County Tipperary on May 7th and all are expected to commence at 4.15am.
Tipperary town will host an event at Sean Treacy Park (Arravale Rovers GAA club) – this year is the 5th anniversary of the event in Tipperary Town.

Killaloe-Ballina – Ballina GAA Club
Nenagh – Scout Hall, 9 Ashe Street
Roscrea – Abbey Scout Hall
Thurles – The Dome, Nenagh Road
Participation is possible in 3 ways
1. Sign up for an in-person walk
2. Taking part your own way and sharing your sunrise moment with family, friends or colleagues.
3. Take part in the Darkness Into Light Challenge – the sign-up fee is waived for anyone who pledges to fundraise €200.
