A major solar panel farm is to be constructed after getting planning approval in West Tipperary.
The development will consist of photovoltaic panels laid out in arrays over a total development site area of 54.5 hectares, the construction of a 38KV substation and a transformer unit also including: 17 no. Power Hubs which incorporate at inverter and a transformer
The project will also include a single storey communications building, a single storey client side sub-station building, single storey equipment storage building along with CCTV.
The applicant Summit Solar LTD are building the development in Donohill.
The local authority have given the application the greenlight with 16 conditions attached.
