A local rescue group has assisted an injured walker in the Comeragh Mountains.
The callout was made yesterday afternoon when a person suffered a lower leg injury whilst descending the mountain above Coumshingaun lake.
Medical assistance and support were provided to the casualty by South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association’s team doctor.
Rescue 117 was tasked by An Garda Síochána and the casualty was evacuated by the R117 helicopter.
The rescue group is wishing the casualty a speedy recovery.
