The latest World Happiness Report shows Ireland is just outside the top ten of the happiest nations.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the survey which suggests Irish people are happier than ever as the country rose two places, up to 13th.
Finnish people remain the happiest as they top the poll for the fifth year in a row.
The global data to compiled on how people evaluate their own lives in more than 150 countries around the world.
The World Happiness Report reached more than 9 million people in 2021.
This information, in turn, can help countries to craft policies aimed at achieving happier societies.
