Progress continues to be made on Community CCTV Schemes according to the latest update from Tipperary County Council.
The Joint Policing Committee for County Tipperary, made up of Gardaí, community and public representatives is handling the matter.
Issues of data protection procedures have caused delays in implementing the schemes.
Community based CCTV schemes requiring Garda Authorization are in development in Burgess, Birdhill, Littleton, Fethard and Borrisokane.
The JPC have funded Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) for each of the schemes and is currently drafting the Joint Data controller agreement to be signed by Tipperary County Council and An Garda Siochana.
It is expected to have the documents signed off and sent to An Garda Siochana by the end of March this year.
