With almost two years to the day since the postponement of the biggest event, the Tipperary centre had ever planned, the 2020/2 Tipperary rose selection will now be going ahead as planned on March 13th.

Although a lot has changed and life has moved on for so many people who had planned to enter 2021 or 2022 before the pandemic hit we still have great representation from across the county.

There has been a once off special allowance to any lady who had entered the 2020 selection and has since gone over the age limits to still enter and the Tipperary Rose selected night will go directly to the live tv show (with NO Regional final) to represent Tipperary and enjoy the week of fun and activities in Tralee from August 19th to 23rd, 2022.

It’s been a hard two years for everyone but also for the rose entrants (but who have had this event push out numerous times, but they have been supported by the Tipperary rose centre team and their original sponsors, so there is heightened excitement for the event to take place after such a lent of time finally.

Laura Durkan, the raining Tipperary Rose of Tralee, can’t believe it’s been almost four years since her own selection night (due to the previous changes) but is both happy and sad to hand over the sash after the period of time, but excited for thing to be getting back to normal” -we really do need to keep this tradition going being the Tipperary Rose was a fantastic experience – I got to make incredible memories and lifelong friends – and looking forward to the selection on Sunday night”

MC on the night will be Famous presenter Ollie Turner, a great fun night out with the best Banner in the Room competition for all the supporters, Top mammy or Grannie member’s, along with supporting entertainment, Charity Raffle and much more – all of which will guarantee a smile on every attendee’s face.

Ciarán O Connell- Tipperary coordinator “With a gap since 2018 and No Tipperary rose next year, We would really like to extend a thank you to those who helped rally the ladies to re-enter in such great numbers, but now with a large amount of contestants and all areas of the county being represented we ask you again to make sure and come to support your local lady with a full night of entertainment and Craic , while getting a taste of what you see on Tv in August” .

“With everything that has gone on we are “Trying to get back to some bit of Normality” and expect this to be just the ticket that the public need.”  With the large number of entrants and following last events sell out success Tickets are selling fast this year and are on sale from your local Rose, the Anner hotel, and will hopefully be available on the door on the night, remember bring those banners and a big sense of fun.
