Almost 550 cases were confirmed in West Tipperary according to the Health Surveillance Centre.
The data was recorded over a two week period between 22nd of February and March 7th.
The latest data the shows 264 new cases in Cashel/Tipp Town Electrol District, while 156 were confirmed in the Cahir ED and in the Thurles ED 129 case of the virus was recorded.
The Cashel/Tipp Town ED (rate per 100k pop: 964.1) and Thurles ED (rate per 100k pop: 665.6) are below the national COVID incidence rate which is currently 990.8 per 100,000 population.
While the Cahir ED is above the national incidence rate which stands at 1060 per 100,000 population.
