The ESB is seeking to recruit up to 96 new apprentices to join the ESB Networks Electrical Apprenticeship Programme.
Online applications opened yesterday (Thursday) and will remain open until 12pm on Monday, March 28th.
All applicants must be 16 years or older on, or before June 1st 2022 and can apply using their junior certificate or leaving certificate results.
The four-year paid programme combines college-based learning and hands-on experience within the organisation.
Upon completion, apprentices obtain a QQI Advanced Level 6 Electrical Trade Certificate, which is recognised internationally.
ESB Networks is transforming its network as it aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2040.
Apprentices with skills in the area of connecting more renewables to to the electricity network while building a resilient infrastructure are central to achieving the target.
