Jack and Fiadh were the most popular baby names last year.
Jack has been the most popular boy name since 2007 except 2016 when it was over took by James according to the Central Statistics.
While it’s the first time Fiadh (fee-a) has claimed the top spot but it has been steadily climbed its way up, in 2009 it ranked 488 position.
Other popular names include Noah, Connor and Daniel and Grace Emily and Sophie.
