A major extensive for a school in Co. Tipperary is step closer following approve of funding from the Department of Education.
This capital for Ardfinnan National School will be used to construct 6 additional rooms for various purposes, the largest of which will also have an ensuite toilet.
The final cost will not be known until the tendering process is completed.
Both Tipperary TDs Michael Lowry and Jackie Cahill have welcomed the news and have paid tribute to school Principal Brid Quinlivan for her work on progressing the project.
