Gardaí in Cashel along with the assistance of Tipperary County Council Dog Warden have seized an Akita dog.
It follows reports in the town of a Japanese Akita attacking small dogs in the town over the last number of months.
The dog was taken into care and the force is thanking the public for their assistance throughout this investigation.
The force says a prosecution is now pending.
