Cahir Castle have won an award for best European movie venue.
The European Film Commissions event took place in Berlin this evening.
EFCN launched the fifth edition of the Location Award, in November 2021.
This is the annual prize for European locations in the film and TV industries, and 5 locations competed for best European filming location of the year.
Films shot and released between September 21st, 2020 and September 11th, 2021 were eligible to enter.
The finalists were:
Berlin for The Queen’s Gambit – Berlin Brandenburg Film Commission (GERMANY)
Cahir Castle for The Green Knight – Screen Ireland (IRELAND)
Kornati National Park for Murina – Filming in Croatia (CROATIA)
Malaga for The Crown (Season 4) – Andalucía Film Commission (SPAIN)
Stadlandet for Dune – Western Norway Film Commission (NORWAY)
