A man is due to appear before Nenagh District Court today (Monday) following the seizure of suspected drugs on Friday afternoon.
Gardaí seized €125,000 of suspected cannabis following a search of a house in a rural area between Nenagh and Toomevara under Operation Tara.
A man in his early 60s was detained for questioning at Nenagh Garda Station under the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996 and has since been charged to appear at court today.
During the course of the search, Gardaí uncovered a sophisticated grow-house in the attic of the residence containing 17 cannabis plants with an estimated value of €13,600.
In further searches of the house, Gardaí discovered four sealed buckets containing vacuum packed amounts of cannabis herb with an estimated value of €112,000.
