Smokers in Tipperary are more likely to see double the cost of life insurance premiums due to the increase health risks from the habit.
That’s according to the Royal London experts who believe that there’s not only a health benefit to quit but a financial incentive too.
The Health Ireland survey shows that the trends are changing with 5 percent decrease in people lighting up.
The report also show that sizable portion of smokers are trying to give up the habit.
44 percent who took in the part in the study had attempted to give up the cigarettes while 29 percent of active smokers are trying to kick the habit or are planning to give them up.
