The Road Safety Authority is urging drivers to follow a number of steps to prepare for foggy conditions this morning.
It comes after Met Eireann issued a yellow fog warning for Co. Tipperary along with the rest of Munster and Leinster.
The organisation says visibility will be poor and its important that motorists switch on headlights and fog lamps, reduce your speed and keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
Road users should allow plenty of extra time for your journey. Before setting out, check that your car is in good working order, particularly that all the lights, including fog lights, work properly and are clean
The RSA is also advising vulnerable road-users such as pedestrians, motorcyclists and cyclists to ensure they are clearly visible to other road-users by wearing high visibility clothing and using lights.
