The Irish Wheelchair Association, South Tipperary Services, were delighted and humbled by the donation of a service van to the organisation last week by a generous, anonymous patron.
A very generous donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, gifted a Peugeot Expert Van last Friday, 30th of August.
The van has 6 seats and one wheelchair accessible space.
The IWA in South Tipperary has a very large demographic, covering everywhere from Limerick, Cork, Waterford & the Kilkenny border, as well as North Tipperary. This van will be extremely useful for one-to-one supports provided by the Irish Wheelchair Association, such as trips to hospital appointments, GP visits, vaccine appointments, dentist visits, respite, shopping, supports & all other appointments.
The IWA have been extremely busy throughout the pandemic, providing essential supports to both members & non members in the community, by supporting individuals with disabilities and their families.
This additional vehicle will be a huge support to their ever-growing service in Tipperary.
The IWA are thrilled with this very generous donation from an individual who recognises the tremendous work undertaken by the IWA team in South Tipperary throughout the pandemic.
