Taoiseach Micheál Martin, The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar and Catherine Martin, Minster for Arts Culture and Toursim will hold a meeting with the entertainment and live events industry stakeholders next Monday.
This will follow the latest NPHET advice and the deliberations of a COVID sub-committee this Friday, which Minister Martin will attend.
The sector has campaigned for the return of live events especially as the All Ireland Hurling final had 40000 in attendance.
Their campaign was boosted yesterday when Chief medical officer Dr Tony Holohan has said he would have no concerns over an event like Electric Picnic going ahead if it is restricted to fully vaccinated people, with pressure now mounting on the Government to further ease restrictions.
The National Public Heath Emergency Team are due to meet today to review the current Covid situation and to make recommendations to the Government.
