An invitation has been issued to people connected to Tipperary Town to attend a story sharing evening, which starts at the Clocktower beside the Tipperary Excel Heritage Centre on Wednesday the 11th of August at 7 pm. All are welcome to attend, share stories and take a walk through the streets of Tipperary.
The story sharing evening is part of the Tipperary Heritage Audit Project, conducted by Abarta Heritage on behalf of the Tipperary Town Revitalisation Task Force and funded by South Tipperary Development Company under the LEADER Programme.
This informal event on August 11th is promoted as an opportunity for the community to share their thoughts, memories and stories of Tipperary Town.
The organisers are keen to gather your knowledge and memories of the area, perhaps recollections of the old fairs held on the streets or you know of someone famous who used to live in the area.
Places for this free event are limited, in an attempt to gauge attendance and to gather contact details in respect of Covid, intending participants are asked to register via Eventbrite.
