The government has today announced details of funding under the Communities Integration Fund 2021.
Eligible organisations can apply for grant funding of €1,000 – €5,000 to support local integration initiatives. A total of €500,000 will be made available in 2021 to local community based organisations to carry out integration projects in their local area. Organisations eligible to apply include local community groups, sports clubs, faith-based groups, arts groups, formal and informal schools and theatrical and cultural organisations. Applicant organisations must operate on a not-for-profit basis.
This funding can be used for both once-off initiatives and short to medium term projects. Projects should take an inclusive approach, aiming to bring migrants and host communities together, and may not be directed solely to any one particular group or nationality. Local Authorities are not eligible for this round of funding.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 6pm on Friday 02 July
