Tipperary ETB Seek Employers’ Support To Deliver Construction Studies Course

Tipperary ETB is seeking support from employers to enable the delivery of a Pre-Apprenticeship Construction Studies course.  

The course participants will be seeking one or two days a week with an employer for each of the trades taught on the course. So if you are a contractor in any of the following areas; PAINTING,  WALL & FLOOR TILING, PLASTERING,  CARPENTRY & JOINERY PLUMBING,  ELECTRICAL,  BRICKLAYING or GROUND-WORKS, and could facilitate placing trainees for the work placement element of the course, the ETB would love to hear from you.

The course is part of the response of the Tipperary Revitalisation Task Force to improve the education and training opportunities available in the town.

Tipperary ETB is also launching a Dry Lining City and Guilds Course in Tipperary Town on May 24th.  It is certified by City and Guilds and offers learners great job prospects upon successful completion. The qualification covers health and safety and principles of the construction industry with trade specific units covering the installation of ceiling systems, partitions, wall linings and encasement systems. The Course in considered another timely offering in the Task Force’s work to make Tipperary town the Greenest  town in Ireland with retrofitting actions seen as a crucial part of reducing energy costs and carbon emissions.
