Today sees a further easing of restrictions as sports pitches, golf courses, tennis courts, and pitch-and-putt courses reopen, and visitor attractions including zoos, pet farms, and heritage sites are back in business.
Underage non-contact sports training can recommend in pods of 15 or less, and the number of people permitted to attend a funeral has increased to 25.
‘outdoor summer’
The Cabinet is due to meet this Thursday to consider NPHET’s advice, and the Taoiseach is due to outline reopening plans for the summer on Thursday evening. The Taoiseach has already said that an “outdoor summer” is the theme for this year, once again.
It is expected that Mr. Martin will outline details of reopening beyond May, and into June, in particular, the Taoiseach mentioned hotels, B&Bs, and guest houses, and the possibility of their reopening after May.
