Bord na Móna is proposing to develop a wind farm within Littleton Bog, located in County Tipperary.
The proposed development will be known as Littleton Wind Farm. Littleton bog is adjacent to the communities of Gortnahoe, Littleton, New Birmingham, Two mile Borris, and Urlingford. The company say that no decision has been made as to the number of turbines that might be placed on the wind farm.
The company have established a website at www.littletonwindfarm.ie as public meetings are not possible due to Covid restrictions. There is a survey to gather public opinion available on the website as well as maps of the area under consideration.
It is also possible to have an engagement with the projects Community Liaison Officer, Colm Dempsey – contact details available on the website. The closing date for feedback on this consultation phase is May 14th.
