According to an IPSOS MRBI poll, pharmacists are the most trusted profession in Ireland with 96% of respondents saying would trust a pharmacist. The survey asked the public to rank 27 different professions on the basis of trust. The next 5 most trusted are Nurses, Doctors, Teachers, Scientists and NPHET.
The least trusted are Bankers, Government Ministers Estate Agents, Politicians, Advertising Executives and Social Medial Influencers were considered the least trustworthy at 6%.
NPHET had a rating of 87% while Government Ministers scored at 31%. The survey was conducted between Feb 24th and March 7th and was based on a sample of 1000 adults aged 15 or older.
