Seven Tipperary Communities Benefit From Town & Village Renewal Scheme

The following projects across Tipperary have been approved for funding under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme:

  • Birdhill – Install kerbing and tarmac on the paths in Birdhill Community Park to improve accessibility (€22,500)
  • Kilbarron – Village Enhancement, including, removal, replacement and pruning of all trees; upgrading of footpaths around the village (€51,525)
  • Templemore Town -Upgrade of Templemore Town Park recreation amenity; upgrading the main pathways, installing benches and erecting signage (€53,000)
  • Boherlahan Village – Create a pedestrian connection between the two distinct parts of Boherlahan village and enhance the streetscape (€171,000)
  • Kilsheelan – Enhancement of Blueway in Kilsheelan including lighting on the Blueway and Integrated Technology to showcase Kilsheelan (€90,000)
  • Marlfield Village – Public realm, parking and amenity upgrade measures to enhance the village of Marlfield (€200,000) 
  • Loughmore Village – Widen and enhance street landscape in Loughmore village to address safety issues while enabling and promoting tourism and business opportunities (€200,000) 
  • County Tipperary Total €788,025 under this round of funding announcements.
