- Stay in a room with a window you can open.
- If you can, use a toilet and bathroom that no one else in the house uses.
- If you have to share a bathroom with others, think about setting up a bathroom rota.
- You can use the bathroom last and then clean it thoroughly.
- Do not share any items you’ve used with other people. These include:
- dishes
- drinking glasses
- cups
- eating utensils
- towels
- bedding
- If possible, use a dishwasher to clean and dry cutlery. If this is not possible, wash them by hand using detergent and warm water. Dry them thoroughly, using a separate tea towel.
- Do not share phones or remote controls. After using them, clean them with a disinfectant wipe.
- Place laundry in a plastic bag and wash it if the tests for coronavirus are negative.
- If the test is positive, you will be told what to do with your laundry by a public health doctor.
Note that “self-isolation” is different from “self-quarantine”.
