A call has been made for an urgent review of garda resources in Co Tipperary to be carried out, following an incident in Killenaule overnight in which shot was fired at a house in the area.
The incident happened shortly after midnight.
It has prompted TD Jackie Cahill to say that ‘gardaí are under increasing pressure and they simply do not have the support and resources needed to tackle the problem’.
He has called for Garda numbers in Tipperary to be increased and for local gardaí to be equipped with the resources they need to effectively clamp down on criminals in the area.
