Co Tipperary has benefitted significantly from government funding for outdoor recreation projects today.
In total €756,000 is being provided for a number of projects that develop new outdoor recreational infrastructure.
Tipperary town is to benefit from €200,000 of that funding for the development of the River Ara Walking Trail.
Cashel will get the same amount which will go towards a walking route between the town and Hore Abbey.
Templemore will benefit from €200,000 as well. That will go towards the improvement of access to Templemore Town Park.
The remaining €156,000 will be invested in the River Suir Blueway Canoe Trail.
