Number of patients on trolleys at South Tipp Hospital high

The number of people on trolleys at South Tipperary General Hospital was particularly highon Friday.
According to the latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation today, 22 people were on trolleys awaiting beds.
Nationally, the figure for people on trolleys at A&Es or on wards as they await beds, was 341.
There were only two other hospitals outside Dublin that had more people on trolleys that STGH.  Those were University Hospital Limerick where 31 people awaited beds and University Hospital Galway, where the figure was 23.
Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda also had 22 people waiting to be assigned beds.
