A county Tipperary teenager has travelled to Leinster House today as he continues to highlight the need for greater support for people with acquired brain injury.

15 year old Conor Devlin from Annacarty suffered a serious brain injury in a car crash in December of last year.

As a result of his injuries he needed to avail of support groups and rehabilitation units for people with brain injuries and found there are few available for those aged between 13 and 17.

As such the all Party Oireachtas Committee on Health and Children has agreed to a request from Deputy Michael Lowry to allow Conor to appear before the Committee and make oral submission on the urgent need for a dedicated adolescent rehabilitation unit.

Conor was invited to Leinster House today by Michael Lowry and will meet with the Chairman of the Committee Jerry Buttimer to confirm the arrangements for his attendance before the Committee early in the New Year.
