The Tidy Towns Committee in Tipperary town is appealing for the public's help in identifying a person alleged to have been seen stealing recently planted shrubs.
At around 6.30pm yesterday evening, nearby residents claim to have seen a man in a red van dig up 23 shrubs at the back of Wellworths.
The theft has cost the Tidy Town's Committee hundreds of Euro and speaking this morning to Tipperary Mid West Radio the committee chairman, Brian Rafferty, has asked people with information to come forward to a member of the Tidy Towns Committee or contact the radio station.
He also hopes it is not a sign of the challenges to be faced bt the Tidy Towns in the future.
